Help
What is Sidetrack?
Sidetrack shows what your small circle of friends is listening to right now, so you find music that's new to you through people you know.
Do I need Apple Music?
Yes. Sidetrack reads your recently played songs from Apple Music, so you need an Apple Music subscription for your listening to be shared. You can still see your circle's listening and play their songs.
How do circles and invites work?
Share your invite link (You › Your circle › Share invite link). When a friend opens it with Sidetrack installed, you're both in each other's circle. Circles are always mutual, and capped at 25 people. Each invite link works once and expires after 7 days.
Can I pause sharing?
Yes. Go to You › Sharing to pause live listening for a while or turn it off. Your circle just sees you as quiet.
Can I hide my listening from someone?
Yes. Open the person from your circle list and turn on hide. To them, hiding looks exactly like you being quiet. Nobody can tell they see less than others.
How do I remove someone?
Open the person and choose Remove quietly. You leave each other's circles and nobody gets notified. You can undo for a few seconds afterwards.
How do I delete my account?
In the app, go to Settings › Delete account. This deletes your account and your data.
